SSOE is looking to hire a Project Coordinator / Project Engineer to join our team. You will have the opportunity to proactively identify design and installation issues in the field (through site visits, inspections, and collaboration with field personnel) during project execution. This person will also be the primary communication link between project teams, consultants and outsourcing partners within the organization and will be an integral part of problem-solving complex designs for state-of-the-art industrial and high-tech manufacturing facilities for the world’s leading high-tech companies. This position is an onsite role that will require you to work onsite each day and be located in the N. Phoenix, AZ area. Remote or hybrid work arrangements for this role are not available.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify design and installation issues in the field (through site visits, inspections, and collaboration with field personnel) during project execution.
  • Work closely with the design team, discipline leads, and external trades to develop and propose effective solutions for identified issues, ensuring project timelines and budgets are met.
  • Serve as a liaison between the design team, discipline leads, and the trades to facilitate communication and problem-solving.
  • Maintain clear and concise communication channels to ensure all parties are aligned on issue resolution and project progress.
  • May assist in the training of other Assistant Project Managers or project team members to familiarize them with SSOE or the client's specific requirements.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Engineering or technically related field with at least 1-3 years of relevant client facing experience within the A/E/C industry required.
  • Good facilitator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of tools.
  • Experience with reading and interpreting construction plans.
  • Salary Range: $65,000 - $105,000/year depending on location, education, experience, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.

  • Being able to work onsite within a secured facility each day is required.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk, hear, use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms and climb ladders. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk and may be required to comply with cleanroom gowning protocol. Occasionally may be required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • May rarely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
