Overview

SSOE Group is seeking a dedicated Structural Engineering Intern to join our Atlanta team this summer. An ideal candidate will be a Civil Engineering student with 2D and 3D CAD experience, who’s eager to learn. The student will be introduced to structural design for commercial buildings utilizing AutoCAD and Revit design software.

Responsibilities

  • Performs assigned tasks under close supervision of Department Manager or designee. Receives specific and detailed instruction.
  • Learns and uses structural department standards, methods, and procedures.
  • Meets various deadlines on daily duties or special projects as assigned by Department Manager or designee.
  • Assists in generating 2D drawings and 3D Revit models.
  • Assists in preliminary structural calculations.
  • Assists in gathering field information on existing structures.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • Current enrollment in a four year ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree program.
  • Second or third academic year preferred.
  • Revit experience preferred.

Salary Range: $20-$23 per hour
