As a Marketing Coordinator for our Mexico operations, you’ll learn about how we do business and gain broad exposure to the B2B marketing communication field promoting an interesting and diverse brand in the AEC industry. In this position, you’ll be responsible for coordinating and developing marketing collateral in support of our Mexico operations as well as supporting multi-channel campaign development and execution.

 

This position also supports business development activities within our Mexico offices by preparing proposals, presentations, and qualifications to win work for both design and construction management services. Given the fast-paced, deadline-driven nature of proposal development, the candidate must also be capable of bringing together information from multiple parties, requiring strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize. The ideal candidate should be graphically inclined—understand style; able to create aesthetically pleasing graphics in line with brand standards—but also have a strong understanding of marketing concepts including positioning, target markets, and strategy.

This position reports up through a centralized corporate marketing department to ensure consistency of corporate messaging and brand throughout all communications. As this position will work closely with our U.S.-based marketing team, the ideal candidate will be bilingual, with  demonstrated communication and proofreading skills in English and Spanish.

 

Responsibilities

A Typical Day Might Include:

Providing marketing support and assistance to technical and corporate staff members. This may include:

  1. Conducting marketing intelligence and research in Mexico
  2. Writing, formatting, proofreading, editing, and producing marketing / sales literature for local operation, international clients, and Mexico’s business.
  3. Interviewing subject matter experts on complex concepts and translating them into compelling messages.
  4. Developing and issuing press releases.
  5. Coordination and preparation of proposals / presentations / qualification packages (PPQs).
  6. Coordination of special events and/or tradeshows.
  7. Identifying creative ways of delivering messages through multiple platforms including social media, video, advertising, etc.

Collaboration  

Working with other marketing team members as well as multiple contributors and approvers throughout the company each day—making project management and organizational skills critical. Interacting with staff at all levels of the organization, including but not limited to, executive and senior leadership, business development staff, project managers, and discipline leads to advance projects forward.

Proposals / Presentations / Qualifications

  • Coordinating competitive Proposals, Presentations, and Qualifications (PPQs). Coordination includes facilitating opportunity review meetings; preparing and leading proposal kick-off meetings; setting proposal timelines and assigning tasks; tracking and coordinating the completion of action items from multiple team members; developing tailored content and messaging, and coordinating the review, approval, and assembly of proposals.
  • Developing presentations and coaching presenting teams for client interviews.
  • Maintaining professional resumes for key technical staff.
  • Preparing qualifications packages in support of business development pursuits.

Other Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Create Mexico-specific marketing collateral (brochures, infographics, etc.). Requires demonstrated ability to write basic content, highlighting features, benefits, and differentiators as well as perform graphic layout using InDesign. Assists Mexico operation team to “tropicalize” marketing material, proposal, brochures, and corporate standards to be better received and understood in Mexican market.
  2. Helps keep external website with proactive updates to ensure content is accurate / add new content.
  3. Ensures Mexico-specific marketing and promotional materials are in compliance with corporate brand standards and guidelines.
  4. Point of contact for internal clients initiating work within the Mexico organization.
  5. Assists with daily operations of the marketing group, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
  6. Assists in coordinating and monitoring business development activities. This may include:
    1. Planning, organizing, and supporting operations.
    2. Coordination of special events
  7. Assists management in developing yearly business/marketing plans.
  8. Find, target, and develop local marketing and printing agencies in Mexico to create marketing material, promotional / branded gifts as well as business cards and proposals as needed.
  9. Occasional travel may be required.
  10. Valid driver's license required. May be waived for international assignments.

Qualifications

Qualifications You’ll Need on Day One:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, visual communications, or a related field.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Stylistic attention to detail. Candidates should submit a sample portfolio of work, if available. Must be well-versed in simplifying and clarifying complex ideas into compelling marketing messages.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Software:
    • Microsoft Office tools. Intermediate – Ability to easily navigate Word, PowerPoint, and Excel programs.
    • InDesign. Intermediate – Ability to perform graphic layout of documents using templates and following graphic standards.
    • Photoshop. Basic – Ability to crop / edit images.


Bonus Points if You Have:

  • AEC industry knowledge and experience.
  • Experience using Canva to create graphics for social media use.
  • Video editing experience.
