SSOE is looking to hire a Project Engineer / Project Coordinator to be an integral part of our team to work on the designs for state-of-the-art high-tech manufacturing facilities within the Santa Clara, CA area. You will have the opportunity to lead design coordination efforts (lead site visits, inspections, and collaboration with field personnel during project execution) and coordinate support during construction. This person will also be the primary communication link between project teams and permitting agencies. This position is an onsite role that will require you to work onsite each day and be located in the Santa Clara area. Remote or hybrid work arrangements for this role are not available.

• Proactively identify design and installation issues in the field (through site visits, inspections, and collaboration with field personnel) during project execution.
• Work closely with the design team, discipline leads, and external trades to develop and propose effective solutions for identified construction issues involving design.
• Serve as a liaison between the design team, discipline leads, and the trades to facilitate communication and problem-solving.
• Maintain clear and concise communication channels to ensure all parties are aligned on issue resolution and project progress.
• Submit Design Packages for permit, receive comments from local AHJ, coordinate resolution to AHJ comments, coordinate permit fee payments.
• May assist in the training of other team members to familiarize them with SSOE or the client's specific requirements.

• Associates degree in Engineering or technically related field with at least 3 years of relevant client-facing experience within the A/E/C industry required. Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field is highly preferred.
• Good facilitator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of tools.
• Experience with reading and interpreting construction plans.
• Salary Range: $85,000 - $115,000/year depending on location, education, experience, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk, hear, use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms and climb ladders. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and may be required to comply with cleanroom gowning protocol. Occasionally may be required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
