Overview

SSOE is hiring for an experienced Compensation Analyst to support SSOE’s global compensation programs. This person will partner with Human Resources and leadership to provide companywide analysis in support of organizational objectives and SSOE’s position in the industry job market. The Compensation Analyst will assist in the development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs in accordance with guidelines and policies to provide recommendations on compensation issues and proposals.

Responsibilities

A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE:

The following duties are typical of the position but are not all encompassing. Responsibilities include those required to deliver quality service on schedule and within budget in a team environment.

  • Conducts market pricing, research, and analysis on market competitiveness, pay equity, and compensation trends.
  • Manages and executes compensation surveys and associated deliverables.
  • Manages salary survey data in SSOE’s internal salary benchmarking application; ensures that data is current, and sources are relevant.
  • Makes informed compensation decisions and recommendations that align with and support our program design and market position.
  • Administers SSOE’s annual salary administration program.
  • Performs job analysis and benchmarks to market-based salary structure. Determines appropriate geographic differentials.
  • Prepare and present reports and business recommendations to Business Leaders.
  • Supports regular pay equity and compression analyses; partnering with Talent Management, identifies and recommends compensation adjustments as needed.
  • Supports Talent Management and Talent Acquisition team with compensation-related requests and issues. Provides guidance, education, and coaching on compensation processes, guidelines, job descriptions, position evaluation, and compliance.
  • May create and/or deliver training to managers and employees around compensation programs, compliance, philosophy, and pay practices.
  • Partners closely with HRMS-support team to ensure the efficiency and accuracy of compensation administration practices and the integrity of compensation data.
  • Ensures SSOE’s compensation practices comply with current wage and hour legislation and regulatory requirements; conducts FLSA reviews, as needed.
  • Supports compliance reporting requirements by providing necessary compensation information.
  • Support and lead compensation and HR-related projects and perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS YOU’LL NEED ON DAY ONE:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Management or a relevant discipline preferred.
  • 3-5 years’ experience with compensation programs and analysis work.
  • Knowledge of compensation principals, programs, practices, federal and state wage, salary laws and regulations
  • Strong Technical Skills (MS office – Word, Excel, Project, SharePoint, and PowerPoint).
    • Ability to gather and analyze statistical data, generate and present reports.
    • Strong technical knowledge of Excel required including development of spreadsheets with formulas, functions, pivot tables, lookups.
  • Experience with databases for accessing compensation information and associated job descriptions.
  • Knowledge of organizational structure, hiring patterns, and job design.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced changing environment.
  • Salary Range: $70,000-$80,000/year depending on location, education, experience, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
