We are seeking an experienced and skilled Project Controls Department Manager to oversee and support the Tool Install Project Controls team supporting multi-disciplinary engineering projects for high-tech, high-tech industrial, and semiconductor industry projects. This role requires a strategic thinker with a foundation in leading and managing an engineering focused Project Controls team to ensure successful planning, monitoring, and execution of projects, adhering to industry standards and timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of project control professionals that support multi-disciplinary engineering teams, providing direction, guidance, and mentorship to ensure consistent application of project control processes across various projects and project delivery.
  • Identify, champion, mentor, and coach the development of the staff and look for ways to elevate the technical and professional expertise of the team.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive project control strategies, policies, and procedures tailored to specific client requirements within the high-tech, high-tech industrial, and semiconductor sectors.
  • Collaborate closely with Executives, Sr. Leadership, Project Managers, and cross-functional teams to establish project control objectives, budgets, schedules, resource allocation, and performance metrics.
  • Monitor the overall project progress, identify potential risks, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure projects are delivered within scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Establish, maintain, and enhance project control tools, systems, procedures, and reporting mechanisms to monitor, track, and report project progress, costs, schedules, and risks.
  • Conduct regular forecasting and analysis of project data to identify trends, variances, resource utilization, and potential risks, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project control processes, tools, and methodologies for increased efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience managing a finance team, with a focus on multi-disciplinary engineering project controls management, preferably within the high-tech, high-tech industrial, or semiconductor industries.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, cost control, scheduling, risk management, and earned value management principles. Experience managing a PMO is a plus.
  • Proficiency with the use of Deltek ERP is required. Experience with Deltek Advantage is a plus.
  • Certification in Project Management (PMP, CAPM) or related field is a plus.
  • Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000/year depending on location, education, experience, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
