Responsibilities

  • Professional Development: Engage in assignments designed to develop your professional knowledge and abilities using prescribed methods and standard techniques.
  • Application of Knowledge: Utilize your academic training in various building materials and systems.
  • Routine Engineering Tasks: Perform a variety of routine engineering tasks that require basic application of engineering fundamentals, with increasing responsibility based on performance.
  • Supervision and Guidance: Work under close supervision, receiving specific and detailed instructions on required tasks and expected results, with limited opportunity to exercise judgment.
  • Design Interpretation: Draft interpretations of your own designs into completed working drawings.
  • Collaboration: While you may be assisted by a designer, you typically do not assume responsibility for directing others.
  • Supervisory Direction: Generally will work under the direction of a supervisor.
  • REVIT Design Work: Perform design work using REVIT software.
  • Code Knowledge: Develop a basic understanding of the discipline's codes.
  • Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required, though this may be waived for international candidates.

  • Competitive Salary: $65,000 - $75,000/year depending on location, education, experience, and certifications.

Qualifications

Who We Need: 

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, qualifying for licensure in the state of practice, is required. A Master's Degree is preferred.
  • Professional Experience: EIT certification is preferred, with little or no practical working experience.
  • Flexibility: This will initially be 100% onsite at our Columbia, SC office with the potential to transition to a hybrid work setting.
