SSOE is looking to hire a Project Manager to join our team. You will have the opportunity to identify, understand, and manage the scope of work, schedule, and budget of various design packages. This person will also coordinate with various disciplines within the organization and will be an integral part of problem-solving complex designs for state-of-the-art industrial and high-tech manufacturing facilities for the world’s leading high-tech companies. This position will be a hybrid position but will require customary onsite work (at either the project site or SSOE office). Fully remote or designated travel work arrangements for this role are not available.

 

Responsibilities

  • Work with our lead engineers, design team, and senior project managers to identify, understand, and manage the scope of work, schedule, and budget.
  • Preparing the project plan, establishing control procedures, monitoring progress, and adjusting as needed to ensure project goals are being met. Directly accountable for adherence to timetable and financial success of the project.
  • Communicate with various stakeholders including internal engineering leads, vendor/suppliers, contractors, senior leadership, and project owners.
  • Develop/manage frameworks to monitor project progress, risks, and change; and take corrective or proactive steps when necessary.
  • Act as an advocate for process improvements and engineer solutions for problems related to the project while meeting objectives.
  • Coordinating meetings and establishing all document flow and control with client, contractors, regulatory agencies, and others involved—including RFI responses.
  • Reviewing and approving client billings and assisting with account collections, as needed.
  • Works with design and engineering team to ensure deliverables are being met and get assistance in the removal of any obstacles that are preventing their completion. Uses all available resources to manage the successful completion of the project.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelors degree in a related engineering field (i.e. civil, electrical, mechanical, industrial, process, or structural).
  • Minimum of 5 years demonstrated Project Management experience within the AEC industry in a client-facing role executing multi-discipline projects in the semiconductor industry.
  • Demonstrated experience working in groups and/or across multiple offices (may include interfacing with international locations).
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with the internal and external stakeholders and works well within a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Experience coordinating with both owners and contractors as well as the ability to lead project meetings are necessary.
  • A Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) is a plus.
  • Salary Range: $115,000 - $140,000/year depending on location, education, experience, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
