Overview

We are seeking a visionary and experienced Director of Information Technology to lead our IT department. The ideal candidate will have a strategic vision for technology and a passion for innovation, AI, and automation. This role requires a deep understanding of Microsoft technologies and cybersecurity, as well as the ability to manage and inspire a diverse team of IT professionals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Direct and coordinate activities of staff engaged in computer and information systems operations, including information security, hardware configuration, local and wide area networks, BIM/CAD and general application software, management information systems software, internet and intranet applications, website hosting, and hardware and software maintenance.
  • Develops strategy for Information Technology/Information Systems (IT/IS) team and partner with Operations, Project Technology, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) personnel.
  • Develop policies for computer and information systems operations and serve as the primary communication link between Executive/Corporate Management and IT/IS to ensure the group understands the technology for informed decision-making.
  • Responsible for technical master planning including continuous improvement, automation (including AI), and integration of international and domestic offices.
  • Develop long-range plans for system configuration, network operations, training programs, and strategic initiatives with respect to technology application.
  • Develop and monitor the annual technology budget; authorize expenditures for hardware and software.
  • Analyze data to trace recurrent computer and information systems problems and implement cost-effective solutions.
  • Work with Corporate, Operations Management, and Technical Specialists on the evaluation, recommendation, and purchase of software.
  • Oversight of Product Management Teams that are responsible for deploying and optimizing IT products (i.e. Microsoft) throughout the organization.
  • Consult with IT/IS consultants, software and hardware vendors, and users as required.
  • Travel required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of direct experience, with at least five (5) years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • Knowledge and experience in system hardware configuration, application software, and administration of computer networks and information systems.
  • Knowledge of Architectural and Engineering Consulting Operations preferred.
  • Salary Range: $180,000 - $200,000/year based on experience.
