SSOE is looking to hire an Architect to join our team allowing the selected individual with the opportunity to participate in the design of state-of-the-art healthcare, education, and hospitality buildings.

 

As an Architect, you will be responsible for working with other contributing mid-senior level Architects and design teams to create exciting and complex designs that incorporate some of the latest design techniques, while ensuring that all specifications are met, and to ensure timely completion of projects. 

Responsibilities

The following duties are typical of the position, but are not all encompassing. Responsibilities include those required to deliver quality service on schedule and within budget in a team environment for the following market sectors: K-12, Higher Ed, Mixed Use, Corporate, Historic Preservation and others.

  • Completes entry level assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities.
  • Applies academic knowledge and training in the use of various building materials and systems.
  • Works under the direction of a project architect; receives specific and detailed instruction as to required tasks and results.
  • Performs elementary architectural assignments and generally works from designs of others, compiles data, performs simple design studies and evaluations, estimates quantity take-offs, and assists in preparation of cost estimates with increasing responsibility based on performance.
  • Drafts own and others designs into completed working drawings.
  • May be assisted by a REVIT designer but usually assumes no responsibility for direction of others.
  • Travel required.

Qualifications

  • Professional Architecture degree that qualifies for licensure, license track preferred.
  • Exceptions may be based upon equivalencies.
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Salary Range: $52,000 - $62,000/year depending on location, education, experience, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
