We are currently seeking a Controls Engineer Co-op - Spring 2026 for our Toledo, OH, Process Controls team. This is a full-time Spring Co-op rotation onsite role requiring daily presence at our Toledo office. Remote or hybrid work arrangements are not available for this position.

Responsibilities

An ideal candidate will be an Engineering student with AutoCAD experience, who’s eager to learn. The co-op will be introduced to controls engineering with the opportunity to visit our clients facilities and experience process operations. The intern will gain exposure to industrial control systems as well as PLC and HMI programming

  • Applies academic knowledge and training to various to real world engineering systems.
  • Performs a variety of routine engineering tasks requiring basic application of engineering fundamentals with increasing responsibility based on performance.
  • Works under close supervision; receives specific and detailed instructions for required tasks and results expected with limited opportunity to exercise judgment.
  • Drafts interpretation of designs into completed working drawings.
  • May be assisted by a designer, but usually assumes no responsibility for direction of others.
  • Generally works under the direction of a supervisor.
  • Performs design work on CADD.
  • Develops basic knowledge of the discipline's codes.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • Current enrollment in a two or four year ABET accredited Engineering degree program. Second or third academic year preferred.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills.

Salary Range: $20-$23 per hour depending on year in school
